1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Storytellr (“the Service”, “the App”, or “Storytellr”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Storytellr is a free, browser-based manuscript writing application designed for fiction writers. The Service provides:
- A distraction-free writing environment
- Manuscript formatting tools
- Integration with third-party cloud storage providers
- Export capabilities to various document formats
- Dictionary and thesaurus tools
- Note-taking and organizational features
3. License and Use
3.1 Grant of License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Storytellr for personal writing purposes.
3.2 Permitted Use
You may use Storytellr to:
- Create and edit manuscripts
- Export your work in various formats
- Connect to your personal cloud storage accounts
- Access dictionary and thesaurus features
3.3 Prohibited Use
You may NOT:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service

4. User Content

- Backing up Your Content
- Managing your cloud storage connections
- Securing your device and browser data
4.3 No Storage by Us
We do not store, host, or have access to Your Content. Your manuscripts and data remain on your device and, optionally, in your personal cloud storage accounts.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Cloud Storage Integration
Storytellr integrates with third-party cloud storage providers (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box). When you connect to these services:
- You authorize Storytellr to access files on your behalf
- You are subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers
- We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or availability of these third-party services
- You can revoke access at any time through the App or the provider’s settings
5.2 Dictionary and Thesaurus Services
The Service uses third-party APIs (Dictionary API, Datamuse API) for word lookups. These services are provided “as is” and may be unavailable at times.
5.3 No Endorsement
We do not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party services, and their inclusion does not imply any affiliation.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Rights
Storytellr, including its design, code, features, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
6.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Storytellr, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without compensation or attribution.

7. Privacy and Data

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
8.1 “AS IS” Service
STORYTELLR IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY
8.2 No Guarantee
We do not guarantee that:

- Stop accessing Storytellr
- Clear browser data for storytellr.app
- Revoke cloud storage permissions (if connected)

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Service ends
- You must cease all use of Storytellr
- Data stored in your browser remains until you clear it
- Provisions that should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitations) remain in effect
13. Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws when using the Service or exporting your manuscripts.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
